  • Contract Database Search: Enables you to search the Semeris Docs contract database directly from Word, allowing you to quickly find relevant precedents and clauses.

Getting Started with Semeris Docs for Word

For a smooth start, follow these initial steps:

Step 1 - Login to Semeris Docs

  1. Within Word, click the Home button on the SEMERIS ribbon.

  2. Choose Login and enter your Semeris Docs credentials.

Navigating Defined Terms

The Terms feature automatically scans your document to identify defined terms and their definitions.

Using Defined Terms Navigation:

  • The add-in highlights defined terms throughout your document

  • Click on any defined term to read its definition

  • View a complete list of all defined terms in the sidebar

  • Navigate between term usage and definition locations with a single click

This feature is particularly useful when reviewing lengthy contracts where defined terms may be referenced multiple times across different sections.

Searching the Contract Database

The Contract Database Search feature allows you to access the full Semeris Docs contract database without leaving Word.

Using Contract Database Search:

  • Enter search terms or clauses in the search panel

  • Preview search results directly in the add-in sidebar

  • Insert relevant clauses or precedent language into your document

This powerful feature helps you find relevant precedents and standard language quickly, improving efficiency in contract drafting and review.
