About Semeris

Semeris is a legal AI company founded in 2020 that specializes in natural language processing and AI technologies to analyze complex legal documentation in the capital markets. Our analytical platform Semeris Docs focuses on extracting insights from words, not numbers, delivering productivity and analytical capabilities to leading asset managers, investment banks, law firms, trustees, and ratings agencies.

Approximately 50% of our revenue comes from U.S. clients, many of whom are major institutions in structured finance, private credit, and leveraged finance markets.

Following our Series A funding round in January 2025, we're a growing company with an international team of approximately 45 software developers, analysts, and sales and marketing specialists.

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our U.S. team and expand our business in structured finance and private credit. Reporting to our Head of US Sales, you'll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through closing, with clients across asset management, investment banking, law firms, rating agencies, and trustees.

You should possess domain expertise in these sectors, an established industry network, and a keen interest in software that enables financial professionals to analyze complex documents.

Key Responsibilities

    • Own the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and closing

    • Leverage your professional network to open doors and generate qualified leads across U.S. asset managers, law firms, investment banks, rating agencies, trustees, and other target segments

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, with clear qualification criteria and effective prioritization of prospects

    • Articulate our value proposition compellingly to senior stakeholders in leveraged finance, structured credit, and private credit markets

    • Meet and exceed annual revenue targets through strategic account planning and disciplined execution

    • Represent Semeris at key industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility

    • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers within target accounts

    • Generate new business opportunities through both warm introductions and effective cold outreach strategies

    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their workflow challenges and demonstrating how Semeris delivers measurable value

    • Partner closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine go-to-market strategies and messaging

    • Provide valuable market intelligence and client feedback to inform product development and commercial direction

    • Collaborate with product specialists and technical teams during the sales process to address client requirements

    • Support the onboarding process to ensure smooth transitions from sales to customer success

    • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM

    • Track and report on key sales metrics, pipeline development, and progress against targets

    • Contribute to sales strategy development by sharing insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs

Qualifications

    • 5-7+ years of relevant B2B sales or business development experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise software

    • Strong domain knowledge in structured finance, private credit, leveraged finance, or related capital markets segments

    • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a financial data, analytics, or software environment

    • Existing professional network across asset managers, banks, law firms, rating agencies, or trustees in the U.S. market

    • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively

    • Strong presentation abilities with experience delivering compelling pitches to C-level and senior stakeholders

    • Tech-savvy and intellectually curious with an ability to quickly understand and communicate technical product capabilities

    • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems

    • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and values collective success

    • Resilient and adaptable with comfort navigating the dynamic environment of a fast-scaling startup

    • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term relationship building with short-term revenue objectives

    • Process-oriented with experience using CRM systems (Zoho preferred) to manage pipeline and forecast accurately

    • Results-driven with a competitive spirit and intrinsic motivation to win

    • Authorization to work in the United States

    • Based on the U.S. East Coast
